Direct Table Foods Limited, a Danish-owned pork and bacon processor and distributor has placed an order valued in the region of £25,000 for IRIS Enterprise Software.

In addition to providing Direct Table Foods with fully integrated business systems, Exchequer will significantly improve the speed and quality of management reporting information within the organisation through the automation of business processes and data transfer.

 

The level of automation provided by Exchequer will free up time to enable Direct Table Foods to more effectively address key business issues as a result of the elimination of time-consuming manual processes that offer no direct value to the business.

 

Colin Perry, Group Financial Director at Direct Table Foods, explains, "We firmly believe that Exchequer will interface extremely well with Microsoft Excel and other disparate systems that we use, such as payroll and shop floor data capture. The ability to easily import and export information to and from the system greatly minimises the need for manual intervention which is both time consuming and highly prone to errors."

 

He continues, "The implementation of Exchequer will deliver far more efficiency throughout the business, making it much easier for us to present high-level information to the senior management team in order for them to make informed business decisions. For example, Exchequer will enable the finance department to produce the monthly management reports, currently manually prepared in Excel, in a matter of minutes rather than hours or days, presenting the information that business managers require in an easy-to-read format."

The XML functionality within Exchequer also appealed to Direct Table Foods and the company is looking to take advantage of this technology in the future to deliver further efficiencies to the business. IRIS Enterprise Software supports the BASDA eBIS-XML standard, which enables the electronic exchange of purchase orders and invoices between different accounting systems, driving down stationery and postage costs and reducing the admin burden on staff.
